Mechanical Engineer
REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager
POSITION FUNCTION:
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the designing plans and preparing layouts, drawing and diagrams of specialized equipment and products utilized by the Oil Well Service industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure that the product is engineered to meet the Specification.
- Ensure that all systems are compliant with appropriate regulatory constraints (road laws, HAZMAT, codes, etc). Responsible to integrate all components into a safe functional unit.
- Providing technical expertise in support of production of well servicing equipment.
- Designing in detail the mechanical equipment and structures used in well servicing equipment.
- Detailed functional design and stress analysis of structural and mechanical components.
- Project management.
- Manage engineering staff
- Implement engineering standards
- Planning work effectively to meet deadlines but also be able to multitask and respond to events as they occur.
- Working with Mechanical Design / Drafters to produce detailed schematic drawings and process flow drawings.
- Working efficiently, safely and follow of Enerflow Industries Safety policies.
- Maintaining all company information as confidential.
- Other tasks as assigned
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Bachelors degree (Engineering)
- (EIT or P. Eng preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Supervisory experience
- 5 -10 years experience in detailed design of oil well service equipment and machinery.
- Good working knowledge of Solid Works, AutoCAD and various finite element software
